3ESO C - HAUNTED TALES - a spooky writing adventure

HAUNTED TALES: A SPOOKY WRITING ADVENTURE

This week, our 3rd ESO students embraced the Halloween spirit through a creative writing activity titled Haunted Tales.

The project invited students to craft original short stories using narrative tenses, descriptive verbs, and spooky vocabulary, all in English!

To spark their imagination, students were given a mysterious visual prompt and a clear structure to follow: orientation, events, complication, solution, and an optional message.

They explored eerie settings, ghostly characters, and chilling plot twists, all while practicing storytelling techniques and enriching their vocabulary with words like whisper, shadow, curse, and scream. Some even managed to include idioms and phrasal verbs such as give someone the creeps or run away.

After writing and editing their stories, students had the chance to share them aloud with their classmates from Bilingual 4th ESO . This storytelling moment added a fun and interactive twist to the activity, allowing everyone to enjoy each other's spooky creations and practice their spoken English in a real audience setting.
